Matilda is one of our favourite childhood films and it never gets old.
There was a massive reaction to the news of a Matilda musical recently and any random trivia about the movie itself never fails to intrigue.
As children, the evil Miss Trunchbull terrified us, (throwing kids tends to have that effect), so it’s reassuring to know Pam Ferris is an absolute darling in real life.
Since playing the nasty principal in the blockbuster, the actress has gone on to have a number of roles starring in The Darling Buds of May, Call the Midwife, Rosemary & Thyme while also popping up in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Gavin and Stacey.
Now, we know that Pam was in costume to play Miss Truchbull which resulted in a dramatic change of appearance but nonetheless, she still looks like a completely different person now.
