It’s “The Year of Change” on The X Factor but one thing will never change – the auditions are always our favourite part.
The TV talent show returned to our screens last night with Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grishaw forming the judging panel for the current season.
Saturday night’s show was 90 minutes of soaring highs and crushing lows for contestants, but it’s safe to say we’re off to a great start. In case you missed them, here are three of the very best auditions from the first episode…

These ladies flew in from the Philippines to audition, so you knew by the VT that it was either going to be amazing or terrible. Thankfully it was the first. Groups aren’t usually a safe bet on The X Factor but these sisters could go all the way.
Louisa Johnson
Louisa’s nerves got the better of her to begin with, but good God did she bring it around. Her take on Michael Jackson’s Who’s Loving You blew the judges away.
