Modern Family has revealed a huge pregnancy twist for one of the characters

Modern Family left fans stunned this week when they dropped a huge bombshell on one of the characters.

There's officially going to be another member of the Dunphy family - as Hayley found out that she was pregnant. The eldest of the Dunphy siblings was taken to the emergency room after she accidentally got a tube of lipstick stuck up her nose while go-karting with Dylan. She said on Instagram that it was "gonna be a BUMPY ride" for her character, following that up with a tweet that said:

"SHOCKING brand NEW episode of #ModernFamily on in less than an hour west coast! "I will be live tweeting/instagramming. Ooooooo BABY I'm excited!"

Hyland previously hinted to The Hollywood Reporter that something "bigger than the death" was on the cards for her character. She said:

“It was a shock, that’s for sure. There’s a lot happening with Haley, but I can’t say.”
