After months of denials, Cardi B reveals she is pregnant – in the best way

"I'm finally free!"

Cardi B has ended months of speculation by confirming that she's pregnant. Having been plagued by rumours, Cardi chose to share the news with the world by pulling a Beyoncé and unveiling her bump without saying a word last night. Performing single 'Be Careful' on Saturday Night Live, the singer didn't speak about her baby news but rather had the camera pan out from her face, showing her stomach.

You might remember that Beyoncé revealed that she was expecting her first baby, daughter Blue Ivy, by arriving on to the MTV VMA red carpet in 2011 and silently cradling her bump for the world to see. After her performance, Cardi was captured backstage at the show looking delighted to have made the news public, shouting "I'm finally free!" Cardi has spent the past few months denying that she expecting a child. Back in February she responded to a fan's query on Instagram pretty bluntly, saying she'd gotten fat and asking that they let her "fat in peace." That didn't put a stop to the speculation though and just this week she offered a far more vague denial. "I just feel like people gotta tune in a little bit on album and they will know a little bit more," she said in an interview with Apple Music's Beats One. "Because it's like I can't address all the rumors and everything." Cardi is expecting the baby with Migos rapper Offset, whom she got engaged to last year. He tweeted last night to say that he and Cardi were looking forward to their next chapter together.
