Some brilliant movies and TV shows will leave Netflix after Christmas

Noooooo!

Conor Heneghan

Watch these over Christmas while you still can.

Every month, Netflix updates its library with loads of interesting TV shows, movies, documentaries and other offerings for its millions of subscribers to watch; you can check what’s coming in January right here.

To streamline the content it provides to subscribers, however, Netflix also erases a selection of titles from its library, titles that have been available to viewers for various lengths of time ranging from a few months to a few years.

A list of the titles about to disappear for Netflix’s UK and Ireland viewers regularly appears on the new on Netflix UK website (unofficial but accurate) and quite a few noteworthy ones are set to make an exit over the coming weeks.

Flight, for example, which earned Denzel Washington an Oscar nomination in 2013, disappeared on Christmas Eve, while Marvel fans will want to hurry up if they want to catch Iron Man 3 or Avengers: Age of Ultron anytime soon.

As for TV series, Prison Break and The Killing have both proved immensely popular but will be gone early in the New Year, as will Dexter, while we’d recommend watching the highly-regarded first series of Dear White People before it’s gone on 30 December.

Below is a selection of some of the standout titles leaving Netflix in the coming weeks; you can see the list in full here.
