2. Everyone know that a live gig is hands-down the best way to experience music. If you think Jax Jones sounds good blasting through your headphones on the bus to work, wait til you catch the real thing. You'll be a changed person.
3. The campsite craic is always ninety, not to mention all the fun non-music related stuff there is to do on site. Between trying new foods, buying cool stuff, hitting talks and live comedy and running around with new friends, you could even forget about the artist you wanted to see in the first place.
4. Festivals really are great value for money. Think about it - how much would you spend heading to a top artist's gig versus taking in all the top artists in one place at one time. When you weigh it up, it's a no-brainer.
5. Don't forget bragging rights - were you there when Conor McGregor made an appearance at Bulmers Forbidden Fruit? Or when Christy Moore popped onstage with Coldplay at Oxegen? If you’re there when something major goes down, you’ll have the best story to tell for years to come.
6. You can totally let your appearance slide for the whole weekend. Sure, you'll arrive in fake tan and pristine loose curls but once you get stuck in you'll forget all about how you look. And you'll get away with it too - you're a flower child now.
7. You'll never love your bed as much as the day you come home from a festival. We all take our comforts, like clean clothes and hot running water, for granted sometimes so going wild in the great outdoors for a few days will remind you how great you really have it. Ahhhh.
