Mariah Carey has reportedly sold an idea for a Christmas movie to a film production company this week.
According to reports, the All I Want For Christmas Is You singer will star in the movie as well as providing the music for the soundtrack.
Mariah is said to have sold the idea to New Line after packaging the deal with writers David Diamond and David Weissman along with Brett Ratner and producer Jon Shestack.
It has been stated that the plot of the movie – although being closely guarded – centres around the idea that music can transport you through time and to your true feelings.
