Apple Music CEO Jimmy Iovine really put his foot in it this time.
Appearing on CBS This Morning the mogul behind Apple music was slated for his sexist comments about women’s ability to find new music. Irvine was joined by acclaimed director Ava Duvernay (Selma) and RnB legend Mary J Blige to discuss a new advert Duvernay had directed.
Iovine was speaking about how the playlists created by the service make it easier for women to find music.."Women find it very difficult at times — some women — to find music ... and this helps make it easier,”. Ah here now Jimmy.
Iovine has since apologised for the remarks, saying: 'Our new ad focuses on women, which is why I answered the way I did, but of course the same applies equally for men. I could have chosen my words better, and I apologise.’ (Billboard)
