Now, we all know that The Saturdays have been trying to make it in the States for the past few months and they’re pretty sure that they’re onto a good thing with the release of their new single. However, they have an interesting back-up plan if they don’t make it big.
According to a well-placed source, the girls are considering opening a good, old fashioned fish and chip shop in the States. They’ve been thinking about it for a long time but have been keeping it as their plan B, if the whole become-a-massive-multi-million-selling-girl-group thing doesn’t turn out for the best.
“The girls noticed a gap in the market. They now want to introduce some traditional home comforts over there. They think it could work,” said the source.
Could you just imagine strolling into a chipper and seeing Una, Frankie and co. behind the counter? We’re just not buying it.

The good news is that the girls are fairly confident that they have a hit on their hands with their new single What About Us.
The Saturdays enlisted the help of veteran rapper Sean Paul to add his vocals to the track. Sean Paul has already worked with the likes of Beyoncé, so the girls are hoping he’ll help them to shift a few copies of their new single.
