Drake may have been involved in a bit of a bust-up with singer Chris Brown, but apparently the bad press hasn’t damaged the rapper’s career. In fact, it seems to have just made it stronger as Drake has now officially made it into the top 10 list of hip-hop kings.
Yes, Drake can now count himself among the ranks of Jay-Z, Kanye West and P Diddy. Not bad for someone who is relatively new to the hip-hop scene, right?
According to reports, Drake made his debut in 11th place on the Forbes list in 2010, just missing out on a place in the top 10, despite the fact that made a massive $20.5million from sales of his second album, Take Care.

Drake is slowly but surely making his way up the list...
So who is currently holding the top spot? Well Dr Dre managed to steal the crown from Jay-Z this year, after banking an eye-watering $110million this year. The fact that Dr Dre is raking in the money is suspected to be down to the fact that he launched his Beats by Dr Dre headphones earlier this year.
Last year, Dr Dre was tied in sixth place with Eminem, so that just goes to show how popular his headphones have become.
P Diddy claimed the second spot on the list of hip-hop big earners, largely fuelled by his share in a vodka company, and Jay-Z and Kanye West came in third and fourth places.
Nicki Minaj, who debuted on the list last year, continues to remain the only female in the top twenty.
