Just when we thought Emeli Sandé’s year couldn’t get any better, she goes and wins two Brit Awards.
The Next to Me singer was crowned Best British Female while her record Our Version of Events bagged her the Best Album title in London last night.
Lana Del Rey was among the winners last night.
But she wasn’t the only lady who was left smiling at the end of the evening as Adele picked up Best British Single for James Bond theme Skyfall and Lana Del Rey took home the award for Best International Female.
Frank Ocean won the male equivalent with Ben Howard seeing off strong competition including Olly Murs and Plan B to claim Best British Male.
Boy band One Direction took home a new award.
Mumford and Sons (surprise surprise) took home the Brit for Best Group while Dave Grohl accepted the award for Best International Group on behalf of the absent Black Keys.
