If you were thinking about heading to Body&Soul later this month, here’s one more reason that it’s going to be a great weekend.
The Light House Cinema has announced that it will present a selection of cinematic treats on the big screen at Ballinlough Castle and will take over The Sanctuary (formerly Healing Area) on Friday and Saturday night.
Festival goers and families are invited to kick off those tiresome wellies and relax in comfort with some of the most memorable, offbeat and wonderful films from the 80s and 90s.
Childhood favourite The Goonies will be broadcast at 9pm on Friday, followed by 90s favourite Dazed and Confused at 11pm. Saturday’s programme is all about the music, with cult musical Labyrinth followed by Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense.
“It's very exciting for us to team up with a festival like Body & Soul. So much of what we do in Light House Cinema is about the energy that comes from audiences in a certain space and it's really exciting to experiment in a completely new environment,” said Charlene Lydon, Programmer for Light House Cinema.
“It's also a great way for new audiences to sample some of the diverse range of films that we play here at the cinema.”
Body & Soul takes place from June 19th to 21st and weekend tickets priced at €149.50 are on sale now from Ticketmaster.ie, with Sunday tickets set to go on sale later this month.
