Good news budding musicians! Glastonbury Festival has launched a new talent competition that will see winners perform at this year’s festival.
The top music event is looking for unsigned acts to compete in the competition that runs from January 20 – 27.
“"We get very excited about new music, and the Emerging Talent Competition is just a brilliant way for us to discover fresh talent“ said organiser Emily Eavis.
"Our stage bookers come down to the live finals, and dozens of the acts who've entered over the years have been given a slot at the Festival. We can't wait to see what this year's competition brings!"
A panel of 40 of Britain’s music writers will put together a longlist of 120 acts and a shortlist of eight will be judged by Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis and others.
The final showcase will take place in April, where the winner will be announced. Acts can submit their entries to the competition on the Glastonbury website here.
