Gone In 60 Seconds… Heathers

Dublin duo Heathers have gone from strength to strength in the last few years, after single Remember When was featured in a Discover Ireland ad campaign. The band, otherwise known as sisters Ellie and Louise McNamara, showed the progression of their sound with the 2013 release of Kingdom and have just headed off on a tour of Malaysia and the US. But before they took off, Ellie had a few minutes to share her most random thoughts with Her.ie _____________________________ Tell us one surprising thing about you. I’m ambidexterous. I write with both hands. What is the most embarassing thing that you've ever done? I once was in a rush dropping my younger sister to school. I knew I wouldn’t be getting out of the car so I just stayed in my PJ's…not realising the red light on the petrol gauge was on! I had to walk into Texaco in my PJ’s. Very embarrassing! If you could delete someone's entire existence, who would it be? The Teletubbies, I have a recurring nightmares about them running around those green hills. *shudder* Which trait do you most love and hate about yourself? I’m the most disorganised person in the world, so much so that Louise takes my passport to the airport. On the other hand, I’ve been told I’m a great listener…I especially love listening to other peoples’ conversations...and people watching. Who would be your four perfect dinner party guests? Beyonce, Ellen DeGeneres, Alan Carr, Ryan Gosling What's the worst chat-up line that you've ever used? I’m not cool enough for chat up lines but if I did use them… “Do you have any overdue library books?. Because you’ve got FINE written all over you!” What is your favourite biscuit and why? Can’t beat a cuppa tea and a McVities Chocolate Digestive…not too fancy, just perfect! Which Irish celebrity do you secretly fancy? Colin Farrell If you could live in any era, which one would you choose and why? I would say some time around Woodstock…firstly for the music, secondly for the energy! Dogs or cats? CATS! If you were to take the Her.ie team for dinner, where would we go? There’s a new Italian restaurant in Monkstown, Dublin called ‘That’s Amore’. It’s unreal. Very authentic and very Italian…but there’s only around five tables so we’d all have to sit on each others knees. Apart from that, I’d cook you all dinner. I love to cook!
