They are the kings of the small screen but we never thought we’d see the day when Ant and Dec, formerly known as PJ and Duncan, would be back in the music charts but it has happened.
The duo has flown to the top of the iTunes download chart after performing their 90s hit Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble on Saturday Night Takeaway at the weekend.
Ant and Dec performed their hit single on Saturday night.
As well as singing the catchy tune (which will no doubt be in our heads for the rest of the day) Ant and Dec also pulled off some of their old dance moves.
And it seems all their effort has paid off as the song, which only reached number nine when it was first released, has now claimed the number two spot on the iTunes download chart.
The pair had some pretty cheesy dance moves back in the day.
Speaking about it yesterday, Dec tweeted: “I know the charts have slowed down a bit but taking 19 yrs to get to No.3 is just plan ridix. D #LetsGetReadyToRhumble [sic].”
When it climbed another chart position overnight, he wrote this morning: “This is seriously nuts! I can’t quite believe #LetsGetReadyToRhumble is a bigger hit 19yrs on, you’re all mad! D x [sic]”.
