It's fast becoming a Christmas tradition, and a pretty lovely one at that.
Bono had spoken last week about what he was looking forward to this Christmas, namely getting his family home to spend some quality time together (we suppose when you’ve got all that cash you really don’t need to wait for Santa to deliver gifts…).
But instead of holing up in his mansion for the entire festive season, the U2 frontman took to Dublin’s Grafton Street last night with Oscar-winner Glen Hansard to busk for last minute-shoppers and those just soaking up the festive atmosphere.
Cash was indeed collected from the passersby – but as Hansard and Bono can no doubt manage just fine without it, any money collected will once again go to charity.
In the video above you’ll see them take on U2 hit ‘Desire’, while this video is a lovely rendition of Hansard’s Oscar-winning song ‘Falling Slowly’ with the help of the lovely Lisa Hannigan. Merry Christmas!
