Pucker Up: Jaime King & Lana Del Rey Play Lovers in ‘Summertime Sadness’

It’s certainly not a tune to get you in the mood for Saturday night, but here’s the video for the latest Lana Del Rey tune. 

‘Video Games’ singer, Mulberry muse, and new face of H&M, Del Rey has just released the video for her new track ‘Summertime Sadness’, and it features ‘Heart of Dixie’ star Jaime King as her suicidal lesbian lover.

King’s husband Kyle Newman directed the vid, which shows the deterioration of a once-happy relationship to two women in the depths of despair.

As the fifth single from her album ‘Born to Die’, it’s the kind of cheery content we’ve come to expect from Del Rey. Subject matter aside though, the video is pretty gorgeous, looking almost like a four minute video for Instagram.
