There are so many things that we encounter on an almost daily basis that we never stop to think about some of the more interesting facts about them. From our favourite movies to food and makeup, we will attempt to bring you some random information that you will most definitely be able to use as a future party trick. Given that he has completely dominated the charts over the last few weeks, we thought we would take a look at a couple of things you may not know about Ed Sheeran. 1. He's heavily influenced by Damien Rice. Sheeran saw Rice perform and considered it one of the defining moments of his career.“Afterwards we stuck around and Damien and his band came into the pub next door. I didn’t have much to say — I was too young — but it was inspiring to see him onstage for two hours with just an acoustic guitar and his voice. Being able to command a crowd like that made me think, ‘Wow, it can be done,’” Sheeran told The Daily Mail. “That night when I got home, I wrote six songs, my first six songs.” 2. Kanye West's producer worked on his new album. Yes, Ed Sheeran is so cool that Rick Rubin, who produced Kanye's Yeezus, produced a  hell of a lot of tracks on Multiply. He even produced this masterpiece. 3. The A Team video apparently cost $32 to make. According to reports, the video was shot for less than nothing. Hard to believe when it looks this good... 4. Ed has about 100 tattoos. Amongst them are words as Gaeilge, a tribute to Taylor Swift, a Heinz ketchup bottle and a declaration of his love for Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The story goes that a taxi driver told Sheeran that his daughter was a big fan but asked him to keep it clean and not have swear words throughout the album.

6. "Don't" is apparently about Ellie Goulding. You may have heard the rumour already but the single Don't is apparently about Ed's relationship with Ellie Goulding. Although Ed has never confirmed it, there are some hints to who the song is aimed at... "I reckon she was only looking for a lover to burn." Burn? BURN? ELLIE'S BURN? It's definitely her. 7. He had speech therapy as a kid. Ed had a stutter when he was younger which he had speech therapy for. Ed had a stammer, but overcame it at 13 or 14. *Honorary mention He is just about the cutest kid we have ever seen.
