Singer Rihanna joins The Beatles and Elvis as one of the three acts who have topped the UK singles chart seven times over seven years.
The singer parachuted into the number one slot with duet “The Monster” with rapper Eminem.
The duo held off the challenge from boy band One Direction who were tipped to nab the top spot with “Story of My Life.”
The Monster is Eminem's first number one since 2006 and comes from his latest album Marshall Mathers LP 2, which will be released on November 5th.

This isn’t the first time that the singers have teamed up, Eminem previously sang with Rihanna in Love the Way you Lie and on her album Unapologetic, with the single Numb.
