For the last year, we've been bringing you some of the best Irish and international acts through our Sunday Sessions.
Now, we want to put you at the heart of the action with our first ever live gig taking place at Whelan's next Thursday July 9th.
The brilliant line-up on the night includes The Academic, Little Hours and David Keenan and you can register for free tickets here.
In the run-up to the event, we'll be putting a spotlight on each act and next up is... The Academic.
Name:The AcademicMembers: Craig Fitzgerald, Stephen Murtagh, Matt Murtagh, Dean Gavin
Formed: 2013
Hometown: Mullingar
Four lads on the path to success, The Academic have been having a good year with their hit song Different, getting signed by Global Publishing and now getting to play the first live Sunday Sessions on July 9 in Whelans.
The Academic have been around the block since 2013 and they have been doing a fine job of serenading the masses and playing support to The Pixies at Live at the Marquee was just one of their bigger moments.
Apropos of not much at all, the lads cite their interests as FIFA (yes), toasted sandwiches (yes) and "culchie waving" (not a clue).
