Taylor Swift's latest re-record will be released sooner than we expected.

During her performance at her final leg of the US Eras Tour in California, Taylor Swift sent fans wild when she confirmed the release date for the re-recorded version of the 1989 album. While on stage at the SoFi Stadium, Swift took the opportunity to express her gratitude for the loyalty of her fanbase as she continues to re-record her musical works. She told the crowd of 100,000 Swifties how she took so much pride in seeing the 'joy and the friendship and the openheartedness' between her fans on tour. "You’re making friendship bracelets and trading them. You’re dancing with each other, you’re making friends with the people next to you. It's beautiful," the All Too Well singer beamed. Taylor then commented on how 'special' it was to see fans dress up in their Swiftie attire, which often features details and nostalgic nods to her older music. The Shake it Off performer then revealed she had something to share with her fans. Speaking on how much support she received when she announced that she would be recording her albums, she told the crowd: "The way you embraced that, and the way you have celebrated that, and really decided that it was your fight too and you were 100% behind me." Swift was speaking in reference to when she moved to Republic Records in 2018 and negotiated to own the master rights of all her own music. This came following her original recordings being acquired by Scooter Braun when he bought her former label, Big Machine Records, and her masters were sold. Swift then began the process of re-recording her music under the banner of 'Taylor's Version'. "So, here we are tonight on the last night of the US leg of The Eras Tour, in the eighth month of the year, on the ninth day,” she continued. Then fans saw the screens behind her show the album cover for 1989 (Taylor’s Version), with a release date of October 27th, 2023 in tribute to its initial release date of October 27th, 2014.
