Summertime is upon us and that means one thing and one thing only... all of our money has gone on festivals, Huzzah!
We don't mind spending all our cash because if we know Ireland this year is going to be an absolute doozey. With the likes of Tom Jones, Bonnie Tyler, The XX and The Weekend to name but a FEW, we know exactly where we want to be this Summer, front and centre.
It's also a time when people begin reminiscing about the festival days gone by, and there have been some great ones. We compiled a list of our top 5 standout gigs from Summer festivals across Ireland.
The Killers - Oxegen 2005: Where did they GOOOOOOOO, we miss The Killers so much and 2005 with Mr.Brightside was the absolute peak of our obsession.
The Flaming Lips - Bulmers Forbidden Fruit 2011: Wayne Coyne in his hampster bubble... enough said.
Hozier - Longitude 2014: The Wicklow man blew everyone away when he got the entire crowd to sing Happy Birthday to a young fan in the audience. We love him.
Hozier just got thousands of people to sing Happy Birthday to this little lad, his neighbour who turns 12 today: pic.twitter.com/PNV1VFrjGg
Amanda Brunker - Oxegen 2011: She's nothing if not iconic we'll give her that. This performance has gone down in history as mostly confusing people... but fair play for giving it a good whack.
Arcade Fire - Electric Picnic 2005: This was right before they completely blew up and began world domination, this video is actually pretty funny as the interviewee seems not entirely pushed on the band.
