It’s important every day of your life to be loved… but it’s especially important today!
To Be Loved is the title of the sixth studio album from superstar singer Michael Bublé, and it’s available on Irish shelves from today.
Irish fans of the chart-topping performer still have a three month wait until Bublé’s sell-out run at Dublin’s O2 arena, but you can enjoy new music from the Canadian from today.
To Be Loved is the follow-up to Michael’s multi-platinum selling Christmas, an album full of festive joy that outsold everything except Adele’s album in 2011!
As Bublé fans know and love, the star creates albums that are a mix of outstanding covers of popular classics, and original songs. To Be Loved brings us four original songs all co-written by the Canadian, including After All, written by Michael and a fellow countryman and singer – Bryan Adams!
Adams isn't the only guest star on the album though, Hollywood heroine Reese Witherspoon won plaudits for her turn as June Carter in Walk The Line, and she puts her vocal cords back to work on To Be Loved, appearing for a sweet duet with Michael. The pair recorded their take on the classic Frank and Nancy Sinatra track Something Stupid.
Other beloved hits to get the Bublé treatment on To Be Loved include the Elvis Presley classic Have I Told You Lately, The Bee Gees hit To Love Somebody and king of swing Dean Martin’s Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You).
Speaking about the new album, Bublé said; “My new record is about love, happiness, fun and yummy things. Getting to work with my friend and longtime collaborator Bob Rock (Call Me Irresponsible, Crazy Love and Christmas) who produced the entire album was very exciting. We’re a good team. I love the songs we selected this time out. It was also terrific working once again with my songwriting partners”.
Bublé returns to Ireland to perform 5 sell-out shows in Dublin’s O2 Arena from Monday 15th July to Saturday 20th July, but until then turn up To Be Loved, and enjoy!
Michael's album will be available at 400 locations around Ireland, you can find the closest one to you using this app!
