You season two - so near, yet so far. Everybody's favourite true crime fictional Netflix series is getting a second season, much to the delight of the thousands of us who binged it to death over the Christmas break. Progress on the new episodes seems to be moving along quite fast too, as we've already had confirmation as to who the new Beck is going to be, and who will be playing some of Joe's new potential victims.  In fact, things are moving so quickly that Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, and Ambyr Childers are already back doing read throughs of parts of the script for the next season. https://twitter.com/seewhatsnext/status/1096516755344609280 Exciting. Netflix's news site, See What's Next, shared the photos of the first table read for You season two over the weekend, ensuring that each and every one of us was sufficiently pumped for what's to come. Here's a better look at the images (and Pedretti, who has been mercilessly cropped from the Twitter version). Excited? You better be. We don't have a release date for the show's second season just yet, but if the book that it's based on is anything to go by, we'll have just as much murder, unease, and genuinely unsettling behaviour to look forward to. Hidden Bodies is the follow up to You the novel, written by Caroline Kepnes. It picks up a little after the first book left off - which is coincidentally extremely similar to where the first series finished up. Joe has killed Beck, buried her body, and gone back to living a normal life working in his bookstore and being a general creep. In the series, Joe is confronted with his ex girlfriend who the audience assumes is actually dead. In the second book, Joe has a new love interest who he seems to be just as obsessed with. This new love girlfriend is going to be Pedretti's character, aptly named Love, who Joe is mad about - despite the fact that he's got a mountain of evidence piling up against him regarding Beck's death already. The table read photos also show that Candace, Joe's ex who everybody presumed was dead, will also be playing a pretty key part in the new series. Can't wait.
