Nick and Charlie will be back to melt our hearts all over again.
Netflix has announced that Heartstopper has been renewed for, not one, but two more seasons.
The eight-part-series, which landed on Netflix last month, has quickly become one of the most loved shows on the streaming platform, reaching its Top Ten list in 54 countries.
It tells the story of two teens, Charlie (Kit Connor) and Nick (Joe Locke), who strike up an unlikely friendship at school. When Charlie falls for Nick, he thinks he doesn’t have a chance. But it’s not long until Nick finds he’s developing feelings for his classmate too.
The show is based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, who’ll be returning as creator and writer for the upcoming seasons.

Earlier this month, Kit Connor told Variety how important the show is for the LGBTQ+ community.
“To have a show where you see queer people being happy and being together and united as a group, I think there’s something really beautiful about that,” he said.
“I think that shows like Euphoria that are very queer are still very much sort of adult in many ways because they are very dark and gritty. I think it’s really important to have a show that is just portraying queer love and queer beauty.”
Later, speaking to NME about what could potentially be in store for season two, he revealed: “For Nick, I think there’s a lot more exploration to be done in terms of his family.
“It’s known to fans of the comics that he has an older brother who’s homophobic. I think that would be a really interesting route to go down, but I think there’s loads of material to go and explore”.
If the show’s plot sticks closely to the graphic novels, like the first season did, we can expect to see themes of mental illness, eating disorders and depression dealt with.
Heartstopper season one is now available to stream on Netflix.
