And then we have Brooklyn Nine-Nine which is equally funny and full of quirky characters with a bit of crime thrown in.
When you consider that the characters and humour are actually pretty similar, it seems only right that two of Foxes most popular shows are coming together.
The news was announced on twitter on Monday but they aren't giving away too much of how it's all going to go.

All that FOX revealed was that the New Girl gang will be making a trip to New York where they will crossover with the precinct.
It is safe to assume that Winston will probably play a big part in the crossover now that he is a trained police officer.
While they aren't giving away much else we do know that the mashup will air in the states on October 11th starting with Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 8 and continued on New Girl at 8.30.
According to TVline.com each of the shows creators have released statements about the news. Both of which were filled with jokes which gives us a lot of hope for the crossover itself.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine's co-creator Dan Goor joked about other potential crossovers.
“Stay tuned for our two casts to do a soulful R&B number on Empire, co-anchor the FOX 10 O’Clock News and connect for a touchdown on NFL Sunday.
“But in all seriousness,” he added, “we’re all huge fans of New Girl here at the Nine-Nine, and we’re excited to see our characters interact and to work with their incredible writers and producers. And also to see what their craft services are like, compared to ours.” He said.
While, Elizabeth Meriwether released an equally satirical statement about her own feelings toward the news.
“The crossover episode has historically been the artistic high point of any show that has dared to attempt it,” she said.
“Maybe you remember ‘Blackout Thursday’ on NBC, or even further back the infamous Alf/Gilligan’s Island crossover of the late 1980s. [We] will proudly and humbly go where few shows have gone since the 1990s.
We know we have big shoes to fill, and we look forward to disappointing everyone. There’s a 50% chance Alf will also be in both episodes. But there’s also a 50% chance that is a lie.” She joked.
Maybe Amy and Jess will become best friends, maybe Schmidt and Jake's heads will explode from all the ego in one room, and maybe Winston will solve a case the precinct has been working on for years.
All we know is, we're excited!
