One of Stephen King's most notoriously disturbing novels is coming to cinemas next year in the form of Pet Sematary, a darker than dark meditation on life, death, and whatever the fuck there might be in between.
The upcoming film, directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer, appears as though it will closely follow the plot of the book as doctor Louis Creed moves to a small town in Maine (King's home state), where he discovers a cemetery for dead pets and an ancient Indian burial ground deep within the woods by his new home.
As set-ups go, it might not sound particularly terrifying. But this is a Stephen King story, and the whole thing just descends into something more twisted than you could imagine.
Oh. And there's a cat zombie. A zombie cat. Yeah.
Basically, just watch the trailer. You'll get the idea.
