New Zealand has a First Cat named Paddles and she’s VERY tech-savvy

Louise Carroll

She’s likely striving for world domination and yet, we adore her!

The people of New Zealand have themselves their first ever First Cat and she happens to be extremely fond of Twitter.

Her mum, Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, became the country’s PM last week and is the youngest ever to do so at age 37.

Although the Prime Minister doesn’t always have her Twitter profile kept up to date, Paddles on the other hand is already quite the eager beaver. Perhaps it’s all the time she has to lounge about in the luxury of home which is soon to be Premier House – the official residence of the Prime Minister.

She also has the perfect name. You see the ginger and white kitty has extra toes due to a condition called polydactyl – meaning extra nails to claw you with! But perhaps they’re also puurfect for typing?

The beautiful kitty who describes herself as a ‘strong independent puss who don’t need no human’ has already won over the hearts of thousands of people AND cats, including Downing Street’s Larry and has already made some of her views quite clear.
