It looks as though former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger could be joining BBC’s rival talent show The Voice.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer is apparently in talks with the network to replace Rita Ora, who is leaving the panel after just one series.
Nicole is a former X Factor judge.
The Sun reports that the 37-year-old is the “front-runner” for the role and is flying into the UK this week to meet with producers.
A source told the paper that The Voice judge Will.i.am has been “lobbying hard” for his friend Nicole to join the panel.
The singer is close friends with Will.i.am.
Nicole would join Will.i.am, Tom Jones and the Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson on the ‘blind’ judging panel.
In a neat swap, it was announced that Rita will join the X Factor panel this year alongside Simon Cowell, Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
Rita Ora left The Voice after one series.
Nicole acted as a judge on the ITV show in 2012 and 2013, following her stint on the US X Factor in 2011.
