Nicole Scherzinger to Return to ‘The X Factor’ Even After Cheryl Called Her “Crazy”

This could be awkward!

It was confirmed this week (by Digital Spy) that Nicole Scherzinger will return to The X Factor next month as a guest performer.

But while fans of the show might be happy about it, it could make Cheryl Fernandez-Versini a little awkward considering she called the former Pussycat Doll “crazy and odd.”

In her autobiography the newlywed talked about the pair’s first meeting. She wrote: “‘Oh my God, Cheryl! You’re just as pretty in real life! I heard your song on the radio!’ she had gushed. It was really embarrassing.

“Then she started singing Promise This to me, and I swear to God the woman sang the whole song to my face. It was just so awkward, and every time I stood next to her she started singing it again.”

The Geordie star added that their second meeting wasn’t much better: “Nicole was singing and dancing to her own songs, and I found that a bit crazy and odd.”

While Nicole played down the feud at the time, there could be some tension between the ladies who have taken over from each other on the judging panel of the singing competition.

Nicole replaced Cheryl on the US version of the show when she was axed and then Chezza was invited back for the latest series of the UK one, leaving Nicole to focus on her music career.
