Nooooo! Friends could be removed from Netflix really soon

Oh god, please no.

Friends dropped onto Netflix a while back and it was probably the best day of our lives.

Just kidding, it wasn’t at all.

If anything, it was simply mildly better than a regular day because we now had another show to distract us from the monotony of existence, but other than that, yeah – just a regular old day.

Other people – namely really young people who had never seen the show before – were delighted though as it meant they could experience Ross being the worst, Joey being the best, and Rachel being Rachel for the first time.

Decent day for all involved.

That was, until, today because there’s a very real chance that Friends could be removed from Netflix next year and that’s going to upset a whole load of people.

According to Deadline, the streaming service might have to get rid of the 90s sitcom due to conflict with Warner.

Media analyst, Rich Greenfield, told the publication: “Content like Friends is likely to disappear from Netflix in 2019 as WarnerMedia launches its own SVOD service.”

SVOD, or subscription video on demand, is essentially what sites like Netflix do – let users watch series after series without ever having to wait more than a few seconds.

And if Warner Bros, who partly produced Friends, are launching their own, it’s highly unlikely that they’d be OK with the show being on another subscription service.

Sorry guys.

It was good while it lasted.
