We’re quite surprised by this.
You will always get a few laughs out of Gogglebox Ireland. You just can’t beat the Irish charm and the bit of craic we have.
And more so, we love when the Gogglebox stars comment on various TV shows and movies – with some so cringey we can’t even watch ourselves.
However, it has only been realised that one Irish show has never – and will never – appear on the series.
And that show is… Father Ted.
Yep, the show is already too popular to be featured on the series. “All anyone does is quote the show, repeating the catchphrases, so it gets a little predictable,” producer of Gogglebox Simon Proctor explained.
But sure, that’s why we all love it so much, right?
Simon further added that he also likes to stay away from anything Trump-related, for obvious reasons, as well as soaps because they can be too hard to follow.
