It was only a matter of time.

MTV has created some massive reality shows, including Laguna Beach, The Hills, Jersey Shore and Real World. Along with those was Teen Mom which documented young first-time mothers.

It was a spin-off show from the series 16 and Pregnant which followed four girls, Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood, throughout their pregnancy. Those girls moved to the new show Teen Mom and continued to let the camera follow them around during their first year of motherhood.

It went on to have four series from 2009 to 2012, and again for a revival season from 2015 to 2016.

Some of the key participants, especially Farrah, have gone on to become major reality stars. She’s had a bestselling autobiography, My Teenage Dream Ended, and earlier this year appeared on Celebrity Big Brother.

And now it’s just been revealed that the UK are getting their own version. According to Digital Spy, MTV has released the following statement on the new show:

Teen Mom UK will lift the lid on the real stories of teen pregnancies and parenthood by following the lives of five lovable UK mums and is set to document the highs and lows of teen parenthood.

“It will show the girls taking on some of the biggest challenges and decisions in their life so far. From breakups and managing work/life balance, through to postnatal depression and juggling a social life with caring for a baby, no two teen parent experiences are the same.”

Teen Mom UK starts on Wednesday, November 2nd at 8pm.
