Tonight's episode of First Dates Ireland will see power-lifting Carol going on a date with EJ.
A clip which has been released by RTÉ shows Carol opening up on the date about her recent weight loss and the reason she decided to come out.
She said that she assumed she would be destined to live out her days surrounding by cats, but in May 2016, during the referendum, she felt it was time to be true to herself and come out.
It makes for compelling viewing as she explains to EJ.
Also on on tonight's episode, we'll meet budding actor Danny who gets into character for film buff Caoilainn and graphic designer Jason tries to enchant accountant Rana with his banter.
