One the X Factor contestants FELL OFF the stage during the six chair challenge
The misfortune.
Of all the things to go wrong when performing on national television – falling off the stage is one of the worst.
Well, that’s exactly what happened poor Tommy Ludford this weekend as he took to the stage to perform in the Six Chair Challenge.
Midway through performing his original song, Tommy got stuck into a guitar solo when all of a sudden he ran out of stage.
Yes, dropping out of sight, host Dermot O’Leary and members of the production crew ran to the rescue as the worried judges and audience members looked on.
Tommy made a strong recovery though, jumping back on his feet and waving to the crowd that he was all good.
The Six Chair Challenge kicked off on this year's series last night.

It's one of the more brutal stages of the competition, the first two categories began to be whittled down to the final six - who would ultimately be headed to the Judge's Houses.
And while this year's edition has the Golden Buzzer - essentially, a button for the judges to press when they're absolutely sure they want to keep an act/won't want to swap them out - it didn't make it any less brutal to watch.
