Operation Transformation’s Jean Tierney has welcomed a baby boy

“Everything is worth it.”

Operation Transformation‘s Jean Tierney has welcomed a baby boy.

The former leader dropped out of the RTÉ show earlier this year when she discovered that she was expecting a child.

The 33-year-old had previously opened up about losing her baby girl at just five days old. She had also suffered an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage.

Jean and partner partner Paddy Lyons welcomed their son Brayden last week.

She told the Limerick Leader that she felt “blessed” by the arrival.

“We’ve been through what we’ve been through, and we’ve stuck together through it,” she said.

“You always wish that you’d get to this point but you never know if you actually will, so to have him home with us here is absolutely fantastic. It’s surreal, we keep staring at him, it’s brilliant.

“He’s perfect, we’re blessed with him. Everything is worth it.”

Jean added that her past experiences had made her and Paddy “a lot stronger.” She also said that sharing her story “helped other people speak up and that’s good too.”

Doctors recommended that Jean leave Operation Transformation early due to her medical history.

“For me, this is the way to do it,” she said at the time. “I just didn’t feel it was right to hide away, shy away because there is nothing to be ashamed of.”

“I have a little baby growing inside me, that’s just fricking amazing.”

“It’s just so cool. And hopefully, it will get there perfectly. And if it doesn’t well then that’s a different road to climb.”
