A distinctly diverse lineup of presenters and performers will grace the stage at the Oscars on February 28th.

The Academy announced it’s lineup on Thursday in the wake of heavy criticism surrounding racial issues, with numerous entertainers like Will Smith and Spike Lee vowing not to attend due to a lack of diversity in the nominations.

Whoopi Goldberg, Ryan Gosling, Tina Fey, Kevin Hart, Charlize Theron, Pharrell Williams, Benicio del Toro and Jacob Tremblay (young star of Room) will all present.

Lady Gaga, The Weeknd and Sam Smith, who are all nominated in the Best Song category, will perform on the night.

Earlier this week, Will Smith opened up about diversity in Hollywood, criticising the all-white nominees in the acting categories.

Speaking on Good Morning America, he said:

“I think that I have to protect and fight for the ideals that make our country and make our Hollywood community great.’

‘This is about children that are gonna sit down and are gonna watch this show and they’re not going to see themselves represented.”
