The Late Late Show will feature a moving story about the realities of terminal cancer

What would Friday's be without The Late Late Show eh? On this week's show, Galway mum, Maureen Allman, who is bravely facing terminal cancer will share the inspiring story of how she is determined to live life to the absolute full despite her diagnosis.

Last week, Maureen, contacted The Late Late Show, through the Galway Hospice, with one request: to come on the show to share her story.

In a video she sent to Ryan Tubridy, Maureen said: “I believe in living life and until they put me six foot under, I am going to be alive. Death is on the horizon and we have been very pragmatic in how we have dealt about death. Most of my funeral arrangements are made and it’s great, it means that somebody doesn’t have the responsibility of trying to figure out what I would or wouldn’t like. But life is awfully, awfully good.”

Also on the show will be one of the most recognisable faces on Irish television, Charlie Bird, who will join Ryan on the eve of his wedding and will fill us in on what else he's been up to.

The breakout stars of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent are headed for glory but first they are stopping by to give us a tune. They melted the icy heart of BGT judge Simon Cowell and now Kilkenny Presentation School Choir is set charm the nation with a debut appearance on The Late Late Show, led by choirmaster Veronica McCarron.

First Dates Ireland has proved a big hit with viewers and some of the favourites from the series will be on the show to talk about what it was really like to put themselves out there hunting for love on national television.

Entrepreneur and former TV presenter Feargal Quinn will share stories from his long and varied career and legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb will perform live before joining Ryan on the Late Late couch for a chat about his amazing career.
