Anyone who is aware of Paris Hilton (and let’s face it, who isn’t?) will know that she is the definition of extra. Yes, the queen of the naughties was famous for her zingy catchphrases, poodle-filled handbags and that it-girl persona.
And in recent years, she has made a welcomed return to our newsfeed thanks to her high-profile relationship with fiancée Chris Zylka and her continued dedication to being, you guessed it, extra.
In her latest career move, Paris has returned to the world of music. Yes, in case you didn’t know, Paris has had a string of singles throughout her career history and now she’s added one more to the list.
Newly-engaged Paris released “I Need You” yesterday to celebrate Valentine’s Day and it’s exactly what you’d expect the queen of the naughties to release.
“With this song, I felt it was the perfect time to release it because not only is it Valentine’s Day, but I got engaged and am about to get married,” Paris told Cosmopolitan of the new single that was inspired by her recent engagement.
“I’m at the next phase of my life and growing up. I’m just so happy and feel so blessed to have found my other half.”
And when asked what her husband-to-be thought of the song, Paris said:
“He loved it. He had tears in his eyes.”
With nods to Hollywood icons like Marilyn Monroe and Jessica Rabbit, the video is just as glamorous as you’d expect.
