Pat Kenny is joining UTV Ireland.
The veteran broadcaster will apparently be presenting a new show on the channel which is due to launch next January. The details of what the programme will be about are not yet known.
Speaking at the launch this afternoon, Kenny said: "The timing is absolutely perfect for me to get back into television."
Kenny, who currently works at Newstalk, is an experienced presenter whose past shows include Frontline, Prime Time and The Late Late Show.
UTV have announced two other current affairs shows in the form of Ireland Live and Ireland Live at 10.
