Paul Mescal nominated for an Emmy, Normal People bags four noms in total

Paul Mescal has been nominated for an Emmy for his role as Connell Waldron in the incredibly successful and deeply moving, Normal People.

The series bagged itself a rather impressed four Emmy nods today as the nominations for the awards' 72nd instalment were announced.

Mescal is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in A Limited Series, Lenny Abrahamson for Outstanding Directing For A Limited Series, Sally Rooney & Alice Birch for Outstanding Writing For A Limited Series, and Louise Kiely for Outstanding Casting For A Limited Series.

Executive producers of Normal People and co-founders of Element Pictures, Andrew Lowe and Ed Guiney congratulated the cast, crew and writers for their work on the series.
