The rumoured cast for Quentin Tarantino’s next movie is amazing

Buzzing for this.

Paul Moore

His ninth film will involve Charles Manson’s horrific murder spree.

Given the importance that Harvey Weinstein played in Quentin Tarantino’s career, it’s inevitable that the director of Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs was more focused on other matters over the last few weeks.

Since grabbing Hollywood’s attention with his blistering debut Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino and Weinstein have enjoyed a strong working relationship – every film Tarantino has made was with Miramax or The Weinstein Company – but his ninth film will no longer be a collaboration with the shamed film producer.

Regarding the various claims of sexual misconduct against Weinstein, Tarantino has previously said that:”“I knew enough to do more than I did.”

As for his new film, the director of Kill Bill and Jackie Brown has sent it out to be read by all of the major studios except Disney.

Tarantino’s latest drama will be set in late ’60s-early ’70s Los Angeles and it will focus on Charles Manson’s grizzly murders with a particular focus on Sharon Tate.

As you may know, Tate was an actress and the wife of director Roman Polanski. She was murdered by Manson and his followers in 1969.

According to Deadline, the film isn’t going to slavishly adhere to the truth. They state “there has been a lot of press that the script focuses on Charles Manson and the murder spree he orchestrated, but I’m told that is akin to calling Inglourious Basterds a movie about Adolf Hitler when the Nazi leader was only in a scene or two.”

While no official casting announcements have been made, Margot Robbie has been heavily linked with the role of Sharon Tate. It’s believed that Tarantino has also spoken with Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson about starring in the film.

If finance is secured, the R-rated film will begin production in mid-2018 for a 2019 release.
