‘Ready to go’ – Frasier plans to return next year with ALL the original cast

What a show!

Well, this is exciting.

Frasier is said to be finally making the long and anticipated return to TV with a brand new series set to air next year.

According to Kelsey Grammer, the show is currently “ready to go” and they’re just looking to now secure a network deal with a hope for a mid-2020 launch.

“We’ve hatched the plan, what we think is the right way to go. [We’re] working on a couple of possible network deals that we’re sorting.”

The 30 Rock star said all the original cast are “in” for filming the new show, meaning all our favourite faces could be coming back to our screens very shortly.

Frasier ran for an incredible 11 season starting in 1993 and ending in May 2004, much to the disappointment of fans.

For those who don’t remember, the series followed psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane as he moved back to Seattle and traded his job for a role as a radio show agony aunt.

It then followed him and his friends as he struggled to judge life with a big emphasis on his hope (and fails) in finding love.

Kelsey also noted that any new episodes would focus on Frasier’s relationship with his son Frederick and his continued hunt for love.

Obviously, one major character will be missing if the series does go-ahead for a reboot next year. Frasier’s dad in the show, played by John Mahoney, passed away last year and so, Kelsey admitted this is something they would need to address.
