Thickanna is making a return and Rihanna is making sure the world knows about it.

Back in 2013, Rihanna was asked by a fan if she had gained weight, always one to laugh it off, Rihanna introduced the world to Thickanna – the nickname she gave her ‘thicker’ self. Well, it looks like Thickanna is back and ready to defend herself after a sports journalist shamefully called out the singer's apparent weight gain in a post titled “Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?” Yes, some guy actually wrote that. Well, in classic Rihanna/Thickanna form, the 29-year-old has given the proverbial middle finger to said journalist with her latest Instagram post. “If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane,” read the caption on the meme Rihanna shared.

The post comes just four days after the article was published, in which the Barstool Sports journalist, Chris Spagnuolo, called the singer “fat” and said she “looked like she was wearing a sumo suit”. The piece has now been deleted, and the writer suspended. However, he has since taken to his own social media posting with the hashtag #FreeSpags. Nice try man, but nobody's got sympathy for you here.
