Robert Pattinson is expected to be the new Batman, and we're so down
He was Cedric Digory, and then he was Edward Cullen.
And now it looks like the stunning Robert Pattinson is set to take on another icon role.
The English heartthrob (yes, we said heartthrob) has been highly tipped to play the next Batman.
Robert is reportedly in negotiations to play Batman in the forthcoming film, which is due for release in June 2021.
Variety has reported that Rob Pattinson is the top choice for the film's main role. We support this.
Though it isn't 100 percent official (yet), the report added that the Harry Potter star could be confirmed for the role very soon.
And if this report is fact, that would make Robert the second-youngest actor to ever play Batman on the big screen after Christian Bale.
Bale was 31 when Batman Begins premiered in 2005, Pattinson is 33.
Not a bad achievement.
Warner Bros. has not commented on the report, however, Robert is currently preparing to work on another film directed by the talented Christopher Nolan.
Though there has been no official start date set for The Batman, Variety reports that filming could as soon as the end of this year or in early 2020.
We can't wait to see if Rob does become the next Batman.
