He might be one of Ireland’s best-known faces but Ryan Tubridy has always been fairly private about his personal life.
It’s fair enough – you’d probably never pull again if you started speaking publicly about your romances.
But it looked like he might have accidentally revealed that he was seeing another Irish celeb during an outing in Co Kerry at the weekend.
Ryan, 44, has been linked to none other than Imelda May.
He was spotted with a mystery brunette in Kenmare and it was speculated that Imelda was the woman he’d been visiting the Kerry town with.
“They certainly looked quite close and looked very much together,” an onlooker told Evoke.
Ryan refused to comment on the story and while we reckon they’d make a serious couple, an RTÉ insider has sadly put paid to the rumours.
The source confirmed that though Ryan and the Dublin-born singer get on well, they are not involved.
“He has so much time for Imelda, she’s someone that he admires greatly and he has never made any secret of that,” they told The Irish Independent.
“But that’s about as far as it goes. To link them together romantically is a bit of a stretch.”
The RTÉ broadcaster has been single since 2014, when he and girlfriend Aoibhinn Ó Súilleabhain parted ways.
