Sam Smith is the artist behind the next James Bond theme song.
Today it was confirmed that he has recorded Writing’s On The Wall for the latest installment in the film franchise, Spectre.
Sam co-wrote the song with Jimmy Napes and he is the first British male solo artist to sing the James Bond theme since 1965.
Sam won big at this year’s Grammy Awards.
Speaking about it, the singer said: “This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song.
“I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
Spectre, starring Daniel Craig and Christoph Waltz, hits cinemas nationwide next month.
