Everyone is saying the same thing about Black Doves

Black Doves is one of the most-watched shows at the moment

The thrilling series stars Kiera Knightley and Ben Whishaw.

The tense British series follows Helen, the wife of the Secretary of State for Defence.

She learns that her secret identity as a Black Dove is in danger after her lover is killed by London's underworld.

Her employers, a spies-for-hire organisation – retrieving industrial, political, or diplomatic secrets for the highest bidder – send Sam, an old friend, to protect her.

As incredible as the series is, said the show was slightly tainted when they realised Ben Whishaw voices Paddington Bear.

One wrote on X: "Black Doves on Netflix. Struggling with a hit man who has Paddington Bears voice."

"Watching Black Doves on Netflix is fun because if you close your eyes it sounds like a show about Paddington as an assassin," one joked.

Another said: "Seeing Paddington Bear as a ruthless killer in Black Doves is ever so slightly disturbing…"

Another added, "Black Doves on Netflix is thoroughly enjoyable. The problem is; I recently watched Paddington in Peru and when I close my eyes, that little bear is getting up to mischief Aunt Lucy wouldn’t condone."

One viewer added: "Absolutely loved Ben Whishaw's character in it but that was before learning that he is the voice of Paddington."

Ben Whishaw voices the beloved bear in Paddington (2014), Paddington 2 (2017) as well as in Paddington in Peru (2024).
