It’s been about a week and a half since Seann Walsh and Katya Jones were caught kissing while on a night out in London.
The comedian was unceremoniously dumped by his girlfriend, Rebecca Humphries, via Twitter after she shared a damning snapshot of their relationship.
Jones and her husband are still together.
Following the controversy, both Walsh and Jones took to social media to apologise for any offence caused.
They then danced a super playful, actively un-sexy Charleston on Saturday night, successfully securing themselves a place in this weekend’s instalment of Strictly.
Tonight marks the first time since the kiss that Walsh has used his Instagram account. He didn’t appear to be an avid user before this, but his feed had been peppered with the odd rehearsal update and photos of Katya and himself.
His return to the app is pretty much what you’d expect from a man who cheated on his girlfriend in front of an entire nation and couldn’t even being himself to apologise to her face.
The comedian shared a very dramatic countdown sequence in his Stories this evening, eventually leading to a video of him munching on some carrots.
Walsh tells the camera that a dancer’s diet consists of carrots and watermelon, before angling the phone down to some sort of microwavable chicken meal.
Jones can then be heard calling Walsh’s name in the background, beckoning him to return to the dance studio where they will practice their routine and do some more che-, we mean kissing, probably.
Walsh’s ex, Humphries, wrote that when she had asked the comedian if anything was going on between him and his dance partner, he had called her a “psycho.”
She urged women to trust their guts when they sussed something was up in a relationship and to keep their network of friends and family extremely close.
