Season five of Peaky Blinders will be on Netflix in April.

The streaming service confirmed the news on Thursday, much to the delight of fans.

Season five originally aired on BBC One between August and September last year, but if you missed it (or are late catching up), we’ve got some good news: you’ve got only a few weeks until it lands on  Netflix.

To be more specific, the fifth season will be available as of April 22 – definitely one to mark the calendars for.

Season six of Peaky Blinders is currently in pre-production, with the series’ creator Steven Knight promising it will be “better than ever.”

“It’s the best yet. It’s moving the story forward. We always jump in time so we are into the ’30s. Expect the unexpected,” he said in an interview with PA.

“Because of the nature of the decade, the 30s, we know what happened at the end – that war began. There are rumblings and rumours of war and that is overshadowing the whole thing. It makes it all the more… the stakes are higher.”

As far as Season 6 is concerned, we know that the first episode is called Black Day – and that besides all the main members of the Shleby family returning, Sam Claflin’s Oswald Mosley will be back, too.

No premiere date has been set for season 6 of Peaky Blinders just yet. However, whatever it has in store, we’re definitely looking forward to it.
